STEELE -- More than 50 animals were removed from a Steele residence Monday morning, following a 14-month investigation involving the Caruthersville Humane Society, the Humane Society of Missouri, and the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department. Humane Society investigators from Caruthersville, and the Humane Society of Missouri, Pemiscot County Sheriff's Deputies, the Animal Control Officer from Caruthersville, and a Wardell police officer assisted in the execution of the search warrant and the removal of 51 animals.. ...
