Board hears about use of stimulus (07/28/09)
Members of the Blytheville School Board heard more about the district's use of money from American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Suzanne Kenner, the district's curriculum coordinator, told the board that the district's plan for more than $16 million in funding was conditionally approved by the Arkansas Department of Education. Suspects identified in fake kidnapping call (07/28/09)
Investigators have identified the suspects in four fake 911 calls that sparked an Amber Alert in Dyer County, Tennessee, according to Pemiscot County officials. One of the girls called and turned herself in, according to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department. The juveniles are from Missouri. Since they are juveniles, no names are being released. Juvenile authorities are handling the situation...
