Local 5K participant beating the odds (10/14/10)
Michele David-Johnson, 46, of Blytheville is taking part in Saturday's United Way Chili Cook-Off 5K Run/Walk. What makes that newsworthy is the fact that less than a year ago, David-Johnson was told she would never walk or talk again. On Dec. 10, 2009, David-Johnson woke up with a bad headache. Since she has had six heart attacks previously, that's what she thought was happening. She told her husband to get her two aspirin, which he did, before an ambulance took her to the hospital...
