King holiday celebrations planned (01/07/11)
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the federal holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and several events are already planned in Mississippi County to commemorate the occasion.
Gosnell executive session yields 'no changes' (01/07/11)
In his first specially-called City Council meeting as Mayor of Gosnell on Thursday night, Don Marshall called executive session for the council, citing discussion of personnel issues. The only announcement made at the close of the session was that no action was to be taken.
Fire Dept., wastewater budgets approved (01/07/11)
After about two hours of discussion Thursday night, the Blytheville City Council's Finance Committee unanimously approved the altered, proposed fire department and wastewater budgets.
