Ahh ... Valentine's Day is upon us, a day when lovers swoon, florists are running and single people all over the world cringe.
Newlyweds at 66, 77 (02/12/11)
Judith and Von Perkins aren't your typical newlyweds. Yes, they've only been married since last June after meeting six months before that. But Judith is 66 and Von is 77 years young. The two met at the Mississippi County Senior Citizens Activity Center in Blytheville.
Camp is the new fire marshal (02/12/11)
Blytheville Fire Chief Mike Carney has recently appointed a new fire marshal for the department - Jeff Camp, a 23-year veteran of the field.
Versey Aldridge (02/12/11)
Mrs. Versey Aldridge has been a member of the Blytheville community since 1947, and has raised ten successful children in her hometown, from the same house that her grandparents lived in on Wall street.

The Armorel Tigers split a pair of games with the 2A Maynard Tigers Friday night at Armorel. The Lady Tigers won the first game, 47-37 while the boys dropped the nightcap, 58-48, in their final home game.

Petrino to speak at local Razorback Club (02/12/11)
Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino will be the guest speaker at the annual Mississippi County Razorback Club banquet, scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Feb. 28 at the Manila Airport Center. Club officials are expecting a larger crowd this year and needed the extra space so they opted to move the event from its usual venue, the Arkansas Northeastern College Burdette campus.
