A two-month investigation by the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department has resulted in the arrest of of a 21-year-old Bragg City man on two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of domestic abuse, according to Sheriff Tommy Greenwell.

"Peanut" (04/01/11)
This week's Pet of the Month is Peanut, an adult, spayed, Calico/Tabby mix who has been at the Blytheville Humane Society since Sept. 2. She is sweet and loving and would make a great lap kitty for someone. She doesn't mind dogs, but would have to be the only feline in the household. Blytheville Middle School literacy instructor Linda Snider kisses a pig at the end of the BMS "Renaissance Fair" March 31 inside the school's cafeteria. Snider received this "honor" by a popular vote of all the students and parents who attended the Family Night event, with each guest paying a dollar to vote for their favorite teacher to kiss the pig. ...
