Thomas William "Tom" Simons, 62, of Blytheville, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Great River Medical Center. Born in Hammond, Ind., to the late Robert W. and Esther Chasey Simons, Mr. Simons was a retired quality control supervisor at Ryerson. He loved to read and was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School and Indiana State University.
Mr. Simons leaves his wife, Cora Blair Simons;
A stepdaughter, Candace Meyer, and her husband, Justin of Appleton, Wis;
A sister, Mary Simons of Crown Point, Ind.;
A brother in law, Paul Panther, and nephew, Cameron Panther of Ogden Dunes, Ind.; and
One granddaughter, Kayley Meyer.
Tom also leaves many friends at the Nucor steel mills (Hickman and Yamato) and also at Ryerson.
Services will be at a later date in Merrillville, Ind., with burial in Calumet Park Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be emailed to email@example.com.
