The Blytheville City Council's Finance and Purchasing Committee will meet at 3 p.m. today and Friday in the Municipal Courtroom to continue work on the 2012 budget.
The panel spent 3-1/2 hours last Friday on the police and fire departments proposed budgets.
The city's proposed budget shows $16,474,803 in projected revenue versus $15,936,031 in proposed expenditures
A special City Council meeting is planned for 4 p.m., Jan. 31 with hopes of approving a budget that day.
The Council has until Feb. 1 to pass a balanced budget for 2012.
