Blytheville Police work the scene of an apparent shooting involving two Blytheville students, Thursday afternoon, on Holly Street.

A Blytheville student apparently shot another Blytheville student as both were walking home from school on Holly Street this (Thursday) afternoon.

At 4 p.m., police were still working the scene on Holly Street. Moments before, an ambulance transported the victim to the hospital.

CID commander Capt. Scott Adams said the victim was a student, but he didn't immediately have an age or condition. Blytheville Superintendent Richard Atwill confirmed both the shooter and victim were students.
