OSCEOLA -- An Osceola athlete has been arrested in connection with last week's shooting of another teen.
Shaquille Lockhart, 18, was arrested Jan. 15 on battery first and engaging in violent group activity charges, according to Osceola Police Chief David Gladden.
According to Gladden, Saturday, Jan. 12, police were called to the Pugh Street area in reference to gunshots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 15-year-old male had been shot in the leg. It was alleged four black males in a vehicle shot the victim one time in the right leg while he was walking in the area. The bullet, according to Gladden, went through the right leg and entered the left leg.
According to Gladden, other arrests will be made in this incident, which is still under investigation.
